100% Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, New Zealand.
Around 8% of Catalina was barrel fermented and aged on lees in oak. I experienced with wild ferments and post ferment lees stirring to develop greater richness and complexity.
Brilliant pale straw
Fresh fruit salad, passionfruit, citrus and a floral spice.
Rich soft mouth feel, with underlying acid that gives length and a clean finish.
Great on it own or with seafood or Asian inspired food such as Thai.
A fine Marlborough sauvignon of the citrusy, not-so-green type. Fresh herb and green-salad aromas; soft, smooth and easygoing in the mouth with traces of lemon and grapefruit. A less-pungently varietal style and very more-ish. Drink young. 89/100 Food: sushi and sashimi
